By MIKE McCOY Statesman Staff Writer Joe Brown still lives in the house in which he was born some 89 years ago. Brown's home is off Highway P in the northeast part of Stoddard County. He is a story teller, having written seven books and many booklets. He even submitted occasional stories to the old Bloomfield Vindicator. Conrad W. Alleman, son of the late Thaddeus Alleman and Lillie Irene Hamilton-Alleman was born on Oct. 17, 1917 in Middle Springs, Penn., and died on July 29, 2011 at Crowley Ridge Care Center at the age of 93. Conrad was united in marriage to Mary Lena Pippin on Dec. 3, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. She preceded him in death on February 9, 1997. They began their life together in the St. Louis, Mo. area, and moved to Dexter in 1960...
