BERNIE, Mo. - After opening three sealed bids, the Bernie Board of Aldermen approved hiring Bernie Express as the caterer for its annual Christmas Party. Bernie Express submitted a bid of $11.25 per plate with a 100 person minimum. The aldermen also approved spending $1,000 to repair a driver in the emergency siren in the city, and instructed City Attorney Robin Phelan Northern to pursue misdemeanor charges against businesses within the city that have failed to pay their city taxes and license fees.. ...
