Kemp named publisher at Daily Statesman (Local News ~ 09/20/12)
It was announced this week that Ron Kemp, currently a publisher serving over several Rust Communication owned newspapers in Arkansas, will be serving in the capacity of publisher of The Daily Statesman, Kemp replaces Bud Hunt, who has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president of revenue. Dexter takes on Kennett in battle of winless teams (High School Sports ~ 09/20/12)
It's just Week 5 of the high school football season but Friday night's match up at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter could be a make or break game for either the Bearcats or the Kennett Indians. J.C. Larsen, son of the late Everett Larsen and Geneva Coburn Larsen, was born on April 15, 1923, in Dexter, Mo., and died on Sept.18, 2012, at Missouri Southern Health-care in Dexter, Mo. Mr. Larsen was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Church for 66 years, where he served as a deacon for 64 of those years...
