Dexter Police Dec. 6-8, 2014 Aaron N. Sheehan, 33, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:04 p.m. Friday on a Poplar Bluff warrant. A vehicle driven by Dustin S. Nall, 23, of Dexter struck a vehicle driven by George Leland, 75, of Arkansas, as Nall was pulling away from a curb. The accident occurred at 3:09 p.m. at 2027 W. Business Hwy. 60 on Friday...

Ada Mae Snider, daughter of the late Niny W. and Helen Smith Persfull, was born in Parma on Dec. 22, 1916, and died at her home in Bloomfield on Dec. 3, 2014, at the age of 98. By SUMMER BALLENTINE Associated Press JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- A Missouri lawmaker has filed legislation intended to save the state thousands of dollars on elections by setting deadlines for altering proposals on the ballot. State Sen. Will Kraus, a Lee's Summit Republican running for secretary of state in 2016, drafted a bill that would set a deadline of eight weeks before an election to make changes to ballot initiatives or referendum, about two weeks earlier than the generally accepted standard.. ...
