Alisha Trammell, executive director for the Dexter Chamber of Commerce, and American Steakhouse co-owner Misti McBride brought to the attention of the Stoddard County commissioners the continued struggles of small businesses in the county. The Dexter School Board set the tax levy at its August meeting. The district combined incidental tax rate ($1.3412) teacher tax rate ($1.4400) and debit service ($0.80000) for a total tax rate of $3.5812 for the total tax levy for the 2020-21 school year...

The Dexter Board of Aldermen met in a special meeting Thursday evening to set the tax levy for the fiscal year.
