Local mission team finds experience rewarding

When Keansburg, N.J., resident John Connolly opened the door of the hurricane ravaged home where he lived on July 29, he found nine volunteers waiting to help restore the home. He was at first very suspicious. It had been a hard year for Connolly and his close friend, John Wolf, who owns the home. More than four feet of water surged into the house during Hurricane Sandy on Oct. 12, 2012. The two men lived through the New Jersey winter in the house with no electricity and no heat. In addition, Wolf had terminal cancer.
