Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 03/28/2014

Wednesday, April 2, 2014

Prices continue to weaken this week as producers who have a
particularly heavy supply have to make space for this year's crop.
Each day the grass gets greener and there is more pressure to make
sales. The prices are weakest on the lowest quality hay, while the
highest quality prices remain steady to firm. Hay supply is heavy,
demand is light and prices are unevenly steady. The Missouri Department
of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
To be listed, or for a directory visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/
