Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 04/18/2014

Friday, April 18, 2014

Rain, sun, repeat is the current weather pattern, with rapid
temperature swings from unseasonably hot to unseasonably cold
thrown in for good measure. Field work is lagging behind the
average with weather delays, but producers seem optimistic about
the growing season ahead. Hay demand is light, supply is moderate
to heavy, and prices are steady. The Missouri Department of Agriculture
has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers. To be
listed, or for a directory visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/
or for current listings of hay http://agebb.missouri.edu/haylst/
