Patton - Patton Junction Livestock Auction: Feeder Cattle and Cow auction for 8/25/2014

   Compared to last week, heifers under 500 lbs sold 6.00-11.00 higher, the 
rest of the offering sold 3.00-10.00 lower on a very light test.  Slaughter 
cow sold 2.00 lower and bulls not well tested; Demand uneven and supply very 
light.  Cows made up approximately 20 percent of the run, 80 percent feeders.  
Steers made up approximately 31 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers 
with 15 percent feeder bulls.  Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 23 percent.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  few 250-300 lbs 307.50-320.00; 300-
400 lbs 286.00-317.50; few 400-500 lbs 238.50-286.00; pkg 528 lbs 240.00; 600-
650 lbs 223.00-232.50 fleshy pkg 619 lbs 225.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  pkg 
255 lbs 285.00; pkg 330 lbs 290.00; few 350-400 lbs 252.50-270.00; few 450-

   Cow-calf pairs:  very few 4-7 yrs old, 1000-1230 lbs with 180-210 lbs 
calves, 1975.00-2400.00 per pair.
