Donations make live play performances possible for local students

Thanks to the generosity of five local businesses and civic groups, Dexter school children will be provided the opportunity to see two live plays in the near future to be presented at the Dexter High School Auditorium. Three Rivers College Patrons of the Arts is sponsoring performances of Robin Hood and The Emperor's Clothes on Feb. 2 and on March 2, presented by The Imaginary Theater Company our of St. Louis. From left to right are Randy Northington of the Dexter Kiwanis Club, Davy Crockett of Dexter Elks, Michael Hobbs of First National Bank, Janice Nichols of Southern Bank, Billy Fowler of the Dexter Lions Club, and Three Rivers Dexter Campus Coordinator Bill Hampton. The five entities represented furnished the funding for the student tickets, assuring a seat for every elementary student in Dexter Schools.
