All Stoddard County Schools have extended the COVID-19 wellness break until April 24.

The schools: Advance, Bell City, Bernie, Bloomfield, Dexter, Puxico, Richland and Woodland released a joint statement with the decision Monday afternoon.

The eight superintendents at each school have been in contact with each other regularly during this situation. This decision was reached during a recent meeting while reviewing information from multiple sources. The school also consulted with the Stoddard County Health Department and the Stoddard County Emergency Management Agency.

The joint statement from the schools also said they are trying to meet the students needs. All of the schools are providing meals to the students. On April 6 the schools will start providing enrichment activities to the students to keep the students educationally engaged.

Information about those activities can be found on the respective websites for each school. The schools are continuing to monitor the situation on a national and local level.
