Butler County has confirmed a third positive case of COVID-19.

The individual is self quarantining, said Emily Goodin with the Butler County Health Department.

The health department receives a list each individual’s contacts, Goodin has said.

They then start contacting those people to see if they’re showing any symptoms, she said.

The health department recommends those individuals also self quarantine and get tested if they show symptoms.

“What we’re telling them is they have been in contact with a positive individual and their last known contact was on this date. We recommend you self quarantine for 14 days,” Goodin said.

No information was available as of 11 a.m. Friday concerning testing dates.

Little additional information can typically be released because of privacy laws, officials have said.
