The county as a whole now sits at 886 confirmed cases with 199 active, 669 recovered and 18 deaths. In cases related to the nursing home and assisted living outbreaks the county has 125 confirmed cases with 22 active, 89 recovered and 14 deaths.

Godwin also released an updated community breakdown of active cases. These numbers do not reflect cases related to the nursing home and assisted living center outbreaks. Dexter now sits at 78 cases, Bloomfield 37, Bernie 17, Essex and Puxico 14 each, Advance 12, Dudley 3 and Bell City 2.

“Keep in mind, the situation is very serious in all of Stoddard County, not just the communities listed,” said Godwin. “We cannot express enough, how important it is for you to social distance yourselves from others. Masking, while not mandatory, is highly recommended while in groups.”
