Stoddard County confirms 12 new cases of COVID-19; releases vaccine dates

The director of the Stoddard County Health Center, Ben Godwin, confirmed 12 new cases of COVID-19 and 8 recoveries.

The county now sits at 2,916 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 83 active, 2,772 recoveries and 61 deaths.

Godwin released information concerning an opportunity to receive the Pfizer vaccine. The SEMO Health Network is offering the opportunity for those in Phase 1A, 1B, tier one and 2. The vaccine will be offered at five locations: Monday Feb. 1 at Sikeston; Tuesday, Feb. 2 Bernie; Wednesday, Feb. 3 New Madrid; Thursday, Feb. 4 Kennett and Friday, Feb. 5 Benton.

Godwin also released an updated community breakdown of active cases in Stoddard County. Dexter has 38 active cases, Bloomfield 12, Puxico 10, Essex 8, Advance 6, Bell City, Bernie and Dudley each have 3.
