Bloomfield man dies in accident, two others injured

A Bloomfield man died and two others were seriously injured in a two vehicle crash late Friday afternoon on Highway 25 at Griffin Road.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol Christopher Tormino, 35 of Campbell was eastbound in a 2019 Ford F750 when he was struck by a northbound 2002 Ford Focus driven by Alice F. Wimberly, 61 of Bloomfield, as he crossed Highway 25.

Wimberly received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical center in Cape Girardeau for treatment. A juvenile in her vehicle received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.

Roy G. Bell, 44 of Bloomfield and also a passenger in Wimberly's, was taken by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County in Dexter where he was pronounced dead at approximately 6:04 p.m.

The fatality was the 51st for Troop E in 2021.
