February began with the melt off of an 8-inch snow, which fell on Jan. 29. The young residents of the community enjoyed playing in the powder snow, while older residents stayed huddled in their warm homes, hoping for a less eventful month.

Feb. 4, 2010.....Thursday: TechAtlas workshop at Keller Library in Dexter - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Feb. 11, 2010....Thursday: Advance School Board...7 p.m.

Feb. 15, 2010....Monday: President's Day -- Advance Board of Aldermen...6 p.m.

Feb. 22, 2010....Monday: Stoddard County Historical Society meeting @ Stars & Stripes Museum in Bloomfield...6:30 p.m.

Feb. 22, 2010....Monday: 7 p.m....Southeast Missourian webmaster/blogger James Baughn to give presentation on the old Bloomfield Road, following the Sto. Co. Historical meeting.

Hey, farmwife2, thanks! How could Madeline have forgotten that?! She also forgot the Team Hornet chili supper fundraiser, which was Friday night.
