Friday, March 30, 2012

The final counts are in following last weekend's Larry B. Jones H.O.P.E. Campaign Annual Fish Fry at Bloomfield. Over 500 tickets were sold, and more than $7,600 was raised for area cancer patients after expenses. The silent auction raised $1,271, and the dessert auction raised $613. Continuing T-shirt sales are still boosting the proceeds. The H.O.P.E. Campaign raises funds that are distributed as love offerings to area patients facing the financial burdens of a cancer diagnosis. Continuing donations for the Larry B. Jones H.O.P.E. Campaign may be made at, or mailed to the Bank of Advance at 1428 W. Business US Hwy 60 in Dexter., or to the Bell City or Advance branch locations. Jones of Bloomfield, who lost his battle with cancer, extended their heartfelt thanks to all sponsors and attendees of this year's event.
