Southwest Elementary in Dexter celebrated everyone's differences and abilities on World Down Syndrome Day on March 21. The students and staff wore printed, mismatched, brightly colored, long or any kind of fun socks along with blue or yellow clothing to bring public awareness to Downs Syndrome. Communities all over the world will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by rocking their socks or doing random acts of kindness. As part of World Down Syndrome Day, Sharon Pfeffer and her son Gideon, visited big brothers Silas and Jonah in their Southwest classrooms to teach classmates about Down Syndrome
