Homecoming Court crowned at Dexter High School

Julianna Rivera (center) was crowned the 2021 Fall Homecoming Queen. The second alternate is Gabby Brown (left) and the First Alternate is Callie Whitaker (right).

Gabby Brown. She is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Brown. Gabby is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the Cross Country Team. She is a member of the Track and cross country teams. After high school graduation, Gabby plans to continue her running career at the collegiate level. Her escort tonight is Cy Worley. Cy is a senior at DHS and the son of Clete and Jill Worley. When asked to describe Gabby, Cy said she is smart, nice, and caring.

Sophia Chasteen. Chasteen is the daughter of Jennifer and Brad Chasteen. Sophia is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the cross country team. She is a member of the Cross Country team as well as FCCLA, FCA, Beta, and National Honor Society. After graduation, Sophia plans to attend college and travel when she can. She is escorted by Clayton Bell. Clayton is a junior and the son of Christian and Mindy Bell. When asked to describe Sophia, Clayton said she is kind, cordial, and exquisite.

Jayci Holcomb. She is the daughter of Ray and Heather Carrillo. Holcomb is a junior at DHS and was nominated by the Football team. She is a member of the girls tennis team and basketball cheer squad. She is also involved in pep club, BETA, HOSA, and FCA. Jayci serves as Student Council Secretary and is in the top ten percent of her class. She is escorted this evening by Dylan Sitze. Dylan is a senior at DHS and the son of Eric and Delisa Sitze. When asked to describe Jayci, Dylan said she is smart, beautiful, and kind.

Lexie Laramore. She is the daughter of Jody and Pam Laramore. Laramore is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the Volleyball team. Lexie is a member of the Varsity volleyball and softball teams and is a member of BETA, FCCLA, FCA, and DECA. Her plans after graduation are to attend a 4 year university and major in early childhood education. Lexi is escorted tonight by Taylor Condict. Taylor is a senior at DHS and is the son of Robert and Krystal Condict. When asked to describe Lexie, Condict said she is genuine, intelligent, and athletic.

Makenzie Mahy. She is the daughter of Sheryl Mahy. Mahy is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the Tennis team. Mackenzie is a member of FCCLA, FBLA, BETA, National Honors Society, Pep Club, and FCA. After graduation, Makenzie plans to attend MIZZOU in the fall of 2022.She is escorted tonight by Ben Christian. Christian is a freshman at DHS and is the son of Bruce and Amy Christian. When asked to describe Makenzie, Christian said she is intelligent, funny, and kind. 

Dulcie Pullen. She is the daughter of Alex and Lori Pullen. Pullen is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the Football team. Dulcie is a member of the Varsity Volleyball, basketball and track teams.She is also involved in FCA, FCCLA, FBLA, Beta, Pepclub, National Honor Society, and is in the Top 10 Percent of her class. After graduation, Dulcie plans to attend a 4 year university and major in radiologic science. She is escorted by Joshua Alday. Alday is a senior at DHS and the son of Jay Alday. When asked to describe Dulcie he said she is very caring and funny.

Julianna Rivera. She is the daughter of Julio and Tiffany Rivera. Rivera is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the Girlsâ₠Tennis team. Juliana is a member of the Varsity DHS Girls Tennis team,  wrestling Team, and  track and field team. She is also involved in FCCLA, FCA, Pep Club, National Honor Society, National Beta Club, HOSA, FBLA, Yearbook, and Model UN. After graduation Juliana plans to pursue her athletic career with wrestling to become a traveling nurse. She is escorted tonight by Camden Riley. Riley is a senior at DHS and the son of Andy and Natalie Riley. When asked to describe Juliana, Camden said she is outspoken, spirited, bold.

Callie Whitaker. She is the daughter of Melissa Whitaker and Joe Whitaker. Whtaker is a junior at DHS and was nominated by the Football Cheerleaders. Callie is a member of the Varsity Football Cheerleading team, Kicking Cats Dance team, Pep club, FCA, and FCCLA. After graduating from high school, Callie plans to pursue a career in cosmetology. She is escorted tonight by Cole Gibson. Gibson is a junior at DHS and the son of Nathan and Sarah Gibson. When asked to describe Callie, Cole said she is beautiful, Kind-Hearted, and his best friend.

Tori White. She is the daughter of Courtney and Jason Cowell. White is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the Volleyball team. She is in FCCLA, Student Council, FBLA, FCA, model UN, pep club, BETA, National Honors Society. After graduation in May, she plans to attend a 4 year university and study law. Tori is escorted by Seth Malloy. Malloy is a senior at DHS and is the son of Bucky and DeAnna Malloy. When asked to describe Tori, Seth said she is funny, nice, and weird. 

 Aslyn Wirz. She is the daughter of Denise Carver and Rick and Brandy Wirz. Wirz is a junior at DHS and was nominated by the Football Cheerleaders. Aslyn is involved in FBLA, HOSA, and is a member of Varsity Football Cheer Squad. After graduation, Aslyn I plans on attending a 4 year university and going into the Medical field. She is escorted tonight by her brother, Francois Wirz. He is a senior at DHS and the son of Brandy and Rick Wirz. When asked to describe Aslyn, Francois said, “My sister is hard working, smart, and determined.”

The 2020 Homecoming Queen, Myah Al-balawi graduated from DHS in May 2021 and was not able to be at the game to crown the new homecoming queen. The 2021 Miss DHS and 2019 Homecoming Queen, Rachel Lin crowned the new queen. Lin serves as the Student Body President, FBLA President, Beta Club Secretary, Rotary Interact Secretary, and FCCLA Historian. She is also a member of the Pep Club, National Honors Society, HOSA, Top Ten Percent, and Varsity Football and Basketball Cheerleading. After graduation, Rachel plans on going to college to major in biomedical sciences and pursue a career in the medical field. She is escorted this evening by Levi DeMent. Levi is a sophomore at DHS and the son of Jessica Jinkerson and Barry Dement. When asked to describe Rachel. Levi said she is smart, athletic, kind hearted.
