The Dexter School District collected over 10,000 non-perishable items for its annual donation the Stoddard County Gospel Mission. The items were collected through the FBLA-Mac n Cheese drive, Fright Night Dance-Canned Goods in which a canned good is the entry fee for the dance and National Honor Society-District wide canned food drive. Kim Lemons-Youngman, director of the Mission, said this donation is greatly appreciated and comes at the right time. "This time of year gets low on our canned goods and our food," said Lemons-Youngman. "We appreciate what they do for us every year." the food items collected will be used to fill the Christmas Food Baskets and throughout the year for area families. The mission assists approximately 900 to 1,200 families each month. Williams moving Company provided a truck to transport the food items from the school to the Stoddard County Gospel Mission.
