Dexter hosted the sendoff of April's Honor Tour to Washington, D.C. for 30 World War II veterans at the Bearcat Event Center. A royal and rousing sendoff was sponsored by Dexter Schools with Dr. Roger Alsup acting as coordinator for the event.
