Helen Louise Becking, daughter of the late Orville Mickey and Pearl Zimmerman Mickey was born in Bernie on June 4, 1931, and died at her residence on Sept. 29, 2015 at the age of 84.
Mrs. Becking was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and oil painting. She was a member of the Bernie Church of Christ for many years where 30 years ago she painted the mural in the church baptistery.
She was united in marriage to Joseph "Joe" George Becking Jr. in Piggott, Ark., in July of 1950. Mr. Becking preceded his wife in death on July 25, 1995.
Survivors include four daughters, Kathy and Larry Hampton and their family, Lesley and Don O'Daniel, Zachary and Madelyn; Christine and Jeff Brownlee and son, Steven; Louie and Rhonda Hampton and son, Jarrod; Lynette and Joseph Thomason and their family, Paige and Bill Williams and Maddox; Lisa and Rodney Britt and their family, Emily Massey, Cally Vandergriff and son Landon and Betsy Britt; Jill and Keith Snider and their family, Olivia, Ellen, Garrett and Jackson; one sister, Marilyn Wuenscher also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; two brothers, Larry Mickey and Glendale Mickey and one sister, Laverne Phelps.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. with Stan Dauck officiating.
