The family of Lloyd and Mae Pope, of Essex, recently hosted a surprise celebration in honor of their parents' 65th wedding anniversary. The couple was wed on Oct. 24, 1946 in Piggott, Ark. Stolen property valued at $10,000 recovered in Sikeston

SEMO News Service SIKESTON -- A joint investigation by local and out-of-state law enforcement officials has resulted in the recovery of over 300 stolen items valued at $10,000. JEFFERSON CITY -- Gov. Jay Nixon's proposal for greater efficiency in higher education in Missouri through performance funding took another step forward this week.
