Wright pulls out of Senate race

Rep. Billy Pat Wright announced Monday that he has withdrawn from the race for the State Senate District 25 seat. His withdrawal from the race leaves Poplar Bluff businessman Doug Libla, a Republican, and Rep. Terry Swinger of Caruthersville, a Democrat, to meet in the November general election. Wright has represented House District 159 for 12 years and could not seek re-election due to term limit laws (see accompanying story)...
