Employees at federal government agencies are back at work after Congress approved the budget and debt extension on Wednesday. The Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake, the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge and the USDA offices in the county all reopened Thursday and were fully staffed. The only exception to the resumption of normal service is the Stoddard County Transit Authority which has reopened its offices, but will not resume service until some time next week...
