Making a BIG Difference!

Thursday, March 22, 2012

T.S. Hill Middle School Principal Scott Kruse termed Tuesday's 2nd Annual Hits For Hope as a "huge success." Middle school volleyball players and coaches had set a goal of raising $3,000 through a cancer awareness campaign that culminated in Tuesday night's home game against Bernie. As of Wednesday evening, a total $5307.50 had been raised. The money will be donated to the local 18 FORE Life organization, which sends love offerings directly to area cancer patients. The efforts at T.S. Hill Middle School will be recognized at June 1st 18 Fore Life Banquet. "Our community is a kind and generous one," Kruse said this week. "And the efforts of these teams and their coaches is amazing." Pictured at left are members of the 7th and 8th grade T.S. Hill Middle School volleyball teams in their Breast Cancer Awareness"pink ribbon" formation.
