Members of Star Banner 4-H were busy over the recent holidays "Making a Difference" in Stoddard County. The photo at right shows the group two days prior to Christmas when they spent the day volunteering their time loading Christmas food baskets at the Stoddard County Gospel Mission. The group also purchased 47 wreaths for the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery on Dec. 14. Through fundraising efforts, the club raised $700 toward that project. Star Banner members also recently completed a project headed up by Emily Johns of the club. A total of 71 pillowcases were handmade and presented to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in honor of their friend, Wesley Huey, who has had several stays at Cardinal Glennon.
