Commission takes use tax off April ballot

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- The Stoddard County Commission voted to remove the county use tax proposal from the April 8 election ballot at their regular meeting Tuesday. The wording on the ballot was taken from Missouri Revised Statutes, Chapter 32, Section 32.087. The statute says the use tax "shall be placed on the ballot on or after the general election in November 2014, but no later than the general election in November 2016..."
