Hyslop named GM

Saturday, January 3, 2015

Managing Editor Noreen Hyslop was recently named General Manager of The Daily Statesman. The job is effective immediately, and will coincide with her current editorial duties. The paper has been without a general manager since the resignation of Bobby Greer, who moved from the area in July 2014. Hyslop began her career with The Statesman in 2007 as special projects editor, following a 27-year career with Dexter Schools. She moved into the managing editor position in 2008. "I look forward to the challenges we face within the newspaper industry during these changing times," Hyslop said, "and I appreciate the continued support of our readership." Another position recently named is that of regional ad manager. Terry Coleman of Senath, longtime ad manger with the The Daily Dunklin Democrat at Kennett, has taken on the duties of managing the advertising departments of several Rust Communications-owned entities, including The Daily Statesman, The North Stoddard Countian, and the Delta News Citizen at Malden.
