Monthly Sheep and Goat Report for 8/21/2015

   Compared to last mouth, feeder lambs scarce; slaughter lambs sold 40.00 
higher; slaughter ewes traded 7.00 higher; few slaughter rams 10.00 higher.  
Slaughter billies sold steady; nannies sold steady to 5.00 lower, slaughter 
kids sold 22.00 lower, feeder kids sold 10.00 higher and yearlings scarce; 
Demand uneven and supply moderate.  Sheep made up approximately 50 percent 
of the offering, 50 percent goats. Prices quoted are per cwt. unless otherwise 
noted. Sheep and goat sale is on the third Friday of the month at 10:00 am

   Slaughter lambs:  Choice 1-2  45-70 lbs, 215.00-245.00; 77-95 lbs 190.00-
212.50; 90-120 lbs 130.00-175.00.     

   Yearling: pkg 93 lbs 125.00.
	
   Feeder Lambs:  Medium and Large 1-2  few 35-38 lbs 200.00-220.00.

   Slaughter Ewes:  Utility and Good 2-3  89-140 lbs, 80.00-102.50.00.    

   Slaughter Rams:  Utility and Good 2-3  few 105-165 lbs 95.00-105.00.

   Replacement Ewes: Medium and Large 1-2 few 100-135 lbs 117.50-145.00.
     
   Replacement Rams:  Ind 140 lbs 127.50. 

   Goats: 257
