Athorities searching for missing teen

EDITOR'S NOTE: Authorities have located Layman and she is safe.

The Howell County Sheriff's Office has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for Destiney Layman, 15, after she walked away from a bus stop on County Road 3690 in Mountain View, Missouri at 4:20 p.m. on October 11.

She was adopted several years ago and may be attempting to locate her biological family in the areas of Poplar Bluff or Paragould, Arkansas.  Authorities have obtained information that she may attempt to dye her hair or alter her appearance.  Layman has been diagnosed with severe depression and does not have her medication.

Layman is discribed as a white female, age 15, 5'9" tall and 145 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, with braces and a scar on her chin. She was last seen a wearing black and

Anyone seeing Layman or having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Howell County Sheriff's Office at 417-256-2544.
