Second Butler County resident positive for COVID-19

Butler County has confirmed a second positive case of COVID-19.

The results were received Wednesday night, said Emily Goodin with the Butler County Health Department.

The test was performed on Monday, March 30, she said.

The individual is self quarantining at home, Goodin siad.

The health department has received a list from him of his contacts.

"We've already started contacting those people to see if they're showing any symptoms," she said.

The health department recommends those indivudals also self quarantine and get tested if they show symptoms.

"What we're telling them is they have been in contact with a positive individual and their last known contact was on this date. We recommend you self quarantine for 14 days," Goodin said.

The contacts started late last night and are continuing today, she said.

No additional information could be released because of privacy laws.
