Stars and Stripes Museum to hold benefit event for young cancer patient

The National Stars and Stripes Museum in Bloomfield is sponsoring a Special Kids Day event for Kyran Mitchell a local nine-year-old who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in early 2020.The event is  on May 22, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to support Kyran's cancer treatment with a specialist in New York City.  Modern Woodmen of America has agreed to make a matching donation to Kyran and his family based on the proceeds of up to $2500. We will have something for everyone, a bounce house, mini carnival games and food trucks, and a raffle sponsored by The Wake Foundation.
