Ronald Lee Cox, Sr.
Ronald Lee Cox, Sr., age 81, a long time resident of Dexter, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021. He entered this life March 16, 1940, in Aid, Missouri, the son of Paul and Marguerite (Baker) Cox. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie Bean; and brother-in -law, Willard Bean.
R.L., or Ron, Sr. ,as many knew him, was married on July 16, 1961 in Bloomfield, to Mary Ann Corbin Cox. Of this union he had two children, Ronald Lee (Patti) Cox, Jr. of Branson, Missouri, and Kristi Kay Cox (Mark) Whitehead, who reside in Dexter. Along with his children he has 3 grandsons that survive him, Jake (Shannon) Cox, Corbin Strong and Matthew Cox.
Also known as Ronnie, he grew up in Dexter, and was a 1958 graduate of Dexter High School. Shortly after graduation, Ron chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and enlist in the United States Navy serving his country. Ronald was a member of the Shriners and a 32nd degree Mason.
Graveside services will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, November 24th at 10 AM.
