The 2024 Winter Homecoming Coronation at Dexter took place prior to the varsity basketball game against New Madrid County Central.

Marie Fees was crowned the 2023/24 Winter Homecoming Queen prior to Dexter's varsity basketball game against New Madrid County Central. Marie is the daughter of Jim and Willa Fees. The second attendant is Lilly Crocket, the daughter of Rachel Jameson and David Crockett. The first alternate is Allison Turnbo the daughter of Holly and Jason Turnbo. Averee Ackman - Averee was nominated by the Wrestling team and is a junior at DHS. Averee is daughter of Jonathan and Amanda Guite and Trey and Leslie Ackman. She is a member of Lady Bearcat Basketball team, Football Cheer Team, Beta, Pep Club, FCA, and FCCLA. She is also involved in her church youth group. After high school, Averee plans to attend a four year university and become an Aesthetic Nurse. Averee is escorted by Kayden Hart. Kayden is a freshman at DHS and the son of Kim and Brenda Hart. He is on the football, wrestling, and track teams. When asked to describe Averee in 3 words, Kayden said Averee is confident, intelligent, and passionate.

Alexis Bennett - Lexi is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the basketball cheerleaders. She is the daughter of Chris and Rachelle Bennett. Lexi is a member of the Basketball Cheer Team, Student Council, Pep Club, Senior Beta Club, National Honor Society, HOSA, and FBLA. After she graduates high school, Lexi plans to get an associates degree through SEMO, and then attend Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences to participate in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Alexis is escorted tonight by Nathan Harris. Nate is the son of Julie and Ken Harris. Nate is a member of the basketball, cross country, and track teams. When asked to describe Lexi, Nate said "a good friend".

Rylee Corlew - Rylee was nominated by the Dance team. She is a senior at DHS and the daughter of Ryan and Jessica Lee. Rylee is a member of Senior beta, the Varsity Football Cheer team, Varsity Dance team, and Show choir. After Rylee graduates high school, she plans to attend college to obtain a degree in fine arts and pursue a career in photography and body art. Rylee is escorted tonight by Sabastian Ford, more affectionately known as Sea-Bass. Sea-Bass is a senior at DHS and the son of Jeff and Barbara Ford and a member of the DHS Football team. When asked 3 words to describe Rylee, Sea-Bass said she is a "woman of integrity".

Lilly Crockett - Lilly was nominated by the Wrestling team. She is a senior at DHS and the daughter of Rachel Jameson and David Crockett. Lilly is a member of the Cross Country Team, Track Team, FBLA, FCCLA, and Pep Club, and Liberty Hill Youth Group. After high school graduation, she hopes to attend a Technical Skills school and to pursue a career in Graphic Design. Lilly is escorted tonight by her cousin, Langston Werneck. Langston is a freshman at DHS and the son of Chad and Amber Werneck. He is a member of Stuco, FCA, and the Varsity Football, Basketball, and Track and Field teams. Three words Langston used to describe Lilly are, my favorite cousin.

Emerson Dorton - Emma was nominated by the basketball cheerleaders and is a senior at DHS. She is the daughter of Brett and Christy Dorton. Emma is a member of Student Council, Pep Club, Beta Club, FCA, Varsity Tennis, Varsity Basketball Cheer, and Track & Field. After high school graduation, Emerson plans to attend Arkansas State University and possibly major in Sports Media. She is escorted by her cousin, Ethan Zabelin. Ethan is a senior at DHS and the son of Mark and Shanan Zabelin. He is a member of FFA, FCCLA and the Basketball, and Golf teams. When asked to describe Emma in three words he said, my awesome cousin.

Marie Fees - Marie was nominated by the girls’ basketball team and is a senior at DHS. She is the daughter of Jim and Willa Fees. Marie is a member of Beta, FBLA, Student Council, HOSA, NHS, FCA. Varsity Girls Basketball, and Varsity Track and Field. After Marie graduates high school, she plans to attend the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, major in botany, and pursue a career in crop genetic engineering. She is escorted tonight by Joseph Passley. Joe is a junior at DHS and the son of Joseph Passley Sr. and Aubrey Browning. He is a member of Student Council, FBLA, Football, Beta. When asked to describe Marie in three words, Joe said, Intelligent, creative, and caring.

Amelia Jenkins - Amelia is a senior at DHS was nominated by the Dance team. She is the daughter of Eric and Christina Jenkins. Amelia is a member of the DHS Dance team, Varsity softball team, Senior Beta, FCCLA, and FBLA. After she graduates in May, Amelia plans to attend the Missouri State West Plains University where she will join the Grizzlies softball team and major in kinesiology. She is escorted tonight by Will Guethle. Will is a freshman at DHS and the son of Shawn and Nicole Guethle. Will is a member of STUCO, FCA, and the Varsity Basketball and football teams. Three words Will used to describe Amelia are kind, funny, and caring.

Abbie Lloyd - Abbie was nominated by the girls’ basketball team and is a senior at DHS. She is the daughter of Shawn Lloyd and Jamie Rowe. She is a member of FCA, FCCLA, FBLA, BETA, NHS, and PEP Club. Abbie also participates in Cross Country, Basketball, Track. After she graduates from DHS, Abbie plans to attend a four year university and get a degree in pharmacy and compete in sports at the college level. She is escorted tonight by Hunter Massey. Hunter is a freshman at DHS and the son of Matthew and Rebekah Massey. He is a member of the Cross Country, Basketball, and Baseball teams. He describes Abbie as athletic, funny, and charismatic.

Avery Riley - Avery is a junior at DHS and was nominated by the boy’s basketball team. She is the daughter of Andy and Natalie Riley. Avery is a member of FCCLA, DECA, HOSA, Pep club, BETA, basketball cheer team, varsity volleyball team, After high school, Avery plans on attending the University of Mississippi and getting a degree in the medical field. She is escorted tonight by Gibson Booker. Gibson is a sophomore at DHS and is the son of Mark and Kristi Booker. He is a member of the basketball and baseball teams as well as a member of BETA and STUCO. Gibson describes Avery as outgoing, pretty, and bossy.

Allison Turnbo - Allison is a senior at DHS and was nominated by the boy’s basketball team. She is escorted tonight by her brother, Devin Turnbo. They are the children of Holly and Jason Turnbo. Allison is a member of FCA, FBLA, DECA, Beta, Pep Club, and she is the Regional and Chapter president of FCCLA. She is also a member of the girls’ basketball team, football cheer squad and she runs track. After high school, Allison plans to attend college and become a kindergarten teacher. Her brother, Devin, is a sophomore at DHS and is on the Varsity football and basketball teams. When asked to describe Allison in three words, Devin said, my beautiful sister.

Retiring 2023 Winter Homecoming queen, Callie Whitaker. Callie is a 2023 DHS graduate. She is currently living in St. Louis where she is attending The Salon Professional Academy. Following graduation from The Salon Professional Academy, Callie will start her career in cosmetology and plans to begin working in a salon in St. Louis. Escorting Callie tonight is Cole Gibson. Cole is also a 2023 graduate of DHS. He is currently employed at WW Wood with plans to move to St. Louis and begin a career in landscaping, hoping to start his own business one day in the future.
