Autopsy scheduled following the death of Bernie infant

An autopsy has been scheduled following the death of an infant in Bernie Tuesday morning.

According to Stoddard County Coroner Brent Stidham, Bernie Police and the Stoddard County Ambulance district responded to a call of an infant in cardiac arrest. The infant was transported to Southeast Health in Dexter where Stidham said the child was pronounced deceased at 8:17 a.m.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, March 2. Stidham said no further information is available at this time.
