Groundbreaking

A ribbon cutting and groundbreaking will be at noon Thursday for the future site of Hampton Inn. It will be at 2179 Gill Plaza Dr.

Corned beef & cabbage

The 27th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Ecumenical Corned Beef and Cabbage event will be held from 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Parish Center, 102 E. Castor St.

AA meeting

An AA meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Little Brushy Church at 8346 State Hwy T, Wappapello. For more information, call 573-712-0333.

Friday, March 15

Meet and greet

Meet Niall O’Sly as he stops at Cricket Wireless right before St. Patrick’s Day. The day will include candy, pots o’gold, waived activation deals and more. Event will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday.

Saturday, March 16

Shamrock 5K

Stoddard County Ambulance will host a charity 5K run and walk will be Saturday at 301 E. Stoddard St., in the city hall parking lot. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. Best overall times will receive awards. Registration is $30.

Sunday, March 17

Spring concert

T.S. Hill Middle School will host its spring choir concert at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Monday, March 18

Senior dance

The Dexter American Legion will host a senior dance at 7 p.m. Monday at the Legion, 620 W. Oak St. Admission is $5. The band Midnite Express will perform.
