Christine Dunn

Marion Christine Dunn (nee Alsup) was born in Portageville, Missouri, Jan. 25, 1932 to Jesse Howard Alsup and Pricie Mae (Austin) Alsup, and departed this life March 15, 2024 at the age of 92.

She died peacefully at her home in Puxico.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Elmer (Doc) Dunn of their home. Her four children, Will Smith (Jamie) of Puxico, Janet Ciarniello (Marc) of Cape Girardeau, David Smith (Diane) of Puxico and Tom Smith (Sandy) currently on assignment in Saudi Arabia; four stepsons, Delane Dunn (Clara Lynn) of Clayton, Georgia, Forrest Dunn (Kate) of St Louis, Missouri, Stacy Dunn of Houma, Louisiana, Kent Dunn of St Louis. She also is survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Christine completed nursing school in 1983 and retired from the Puxico School District where she was the school nurse for many years. After retirement. She and her husband, Doc, traveled the country in their Air Stream travel trailer as members of the Missouri Delta Airstream Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Puxico.

Graveside Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the Puxico Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. A memorial visitation will be held at the family home following the interment.
