This special section is dedicated to the winners of the Thursday, February 21, 2019, Stoddard County Scholastic Meet. Dexter Schools has hosted the event for many years, and in recent years has utilized the Bearcat Event Center for the award presentations. The Scholastic Meet features academic competition between the seven county schools and Woodland Schools. That would include Advance, Bell City, Bernie, Bloomfield, Dexter, Puxico, Richland and Woodland. Students in fourth through eighth grades test in areas of analogies/spelling, math, science, language arts, social studies, and at the upper levels in general achievement and declamation.The event offers a unique and much-anticipated opportunity each March for the best of the best academically to test their level of knowledge and problem solving in a one-day testing event.

Abigail Rash of Dexter earned first place in General Achievement at the eighth grade level. Pedro Arteaga of Richland earned second place, and taking third was Kaelyn Yarbrough of Bell City.
In grade eight Declamation, first place went to Giana McCoy of Bernie. Second place went to Lanie Wilkerson of Puxico. Third place went to Wyatt Hendley.
In the category of seventh grade Declamation, taking first place was Addie Medley of Dexter. Lindsey Wendel of Bell City earned second place, and taking third place was Abby Kennedy of Advance.
In the category of Declamation at the fifth and sixth grade level, first place went to Jamie Wilson of Bloomfield. Chloe Walker of Bell City placed second, and earning third was Wyatt Roark of Woodland.
At the eighth grade level in Social Studies, Elizabeth Arnold of Richland took first place. Second place went to Ryan Duncan of Dexter, and there was a tie for third place between Sarah Wilkinson of Woodland and Mallory Stevens of Bernie.
In seventh grade Social Studies, there was a tie for first place between Amber Baker of Woodland and Kate Churchill of Dexter. Ashland Wheeler of Richland took second place, and Scarlett Goodin of Bloomfield earned third place.
In sixth grade Social Studies, taking first place was Haley Lerwick of Woodland. Second place went to Lawles Graser of Bloomfield, and Layton Shafer of Dexter earned third place.
At the fifth grade level in Social Studies, Chloe Green of Woodland earned first place. Lane Warner of Bloomfield took second, and third place went to Tatum Anthony of Bernie.
In the category of Social Studies, Grant Briney of Dexter earned first place at the fourth grade level. Second place went to Sophia Vessell, and third place went to Evelyn Pellett of Bloomfield.
In eighth grade Language Arts, Allie Sitze of Woodland earned first place. Hannah Guy of Dexter earned second place and Brooklyn Staggs of Bloomfield earned third place.
In seventh grade Language Arts, Piper Freeman of Dexter took first place. Mallorie Miller of Woodland earned second place, and Lexy Taylor of Bernie took third place.
Earning first place in Language Arts at the sixth grade level was Bella Voss of Dexter. Second place went to Alex Kester of Bernie, and third place went to Abby Froman of Advance.
In fifth grade Language Arts, Blair Pleimling of Bernie earned first place. There was a tie for second place between Kamren McCormick of Woodland and Cadence Buenaventura of Dexter. Brogan Wright-Hawkins of Advance earned third place.
In Language Arts at the fourth grade level, Taylor Heuring of Woodland took first place. Jonath Aycock of Bernie earned second and Marlei Jones of Richland earned third place.
At the eighth grade level in Science, Noah Moyers of Richland earned first place. Second place was earned by J.P. Stogsdill of Bloomfield, and Braeden Zajicek of Woodland took third.
In seventh grade Science, there was a tie for first place between Alex Porter of Richland and Marie Fees of Dexter. Gabriel Williamson of Puxico took second place, and earning third place was Reed Layton of Woodland.
In sixth grade Science, first place went to Logan Williamson of Bloomfield. Second place went to Korbin Williams of Dexter, and Chris Sutton of Bernie took third place.
In fifth grade Science, first place went to Dale Page of Bloomfield. Second place went to Logan Martin of Dexter, and third place went to Carter Eaton of Richland.
In the category of Science, at the fourth grade level, first place went to Grant McMillan of Puxico. Taking second place was Drake Ford of Advance, and third place went to Baron Greer of Dexter.
In eighth grade Math, taking first place was Maddie Glaus of Dexter. Jo Cook of Woodland earned second place, and Cole Barnfield of Puxico took third.
In seventh grade Math, earning first place was Ty Carmode of Dexter. Jaydon Mitchell of Puxico earned second. Kolby Maddox of Woodland took third.
In sixth grade Math, Caleb Upchurch of Bloomfield earned first place. Rylan Atkinson of Bernie earned second, and Tucker Temples of Dexter took third.
In grade five Math, earning first place was Calvin Layton of Woodland. Leightin Hicks of Bernie earned second place, and Lexus Mallory of Richland took third.
In the category of Math, at the fourth grade level, first place went to Will Guethle of Dexter. There was a second place tie between Adyn Mainard of Puxico and MaKenna Rhodes of Woodland. There was a tie for third place between Allison Vessell of Bernie and Cashlynn Sturgeon of Advance.
In eighth grade Analogies/Spelling, first place went to Eric Harmon of Dexter. Second place went to Presley Watkins of Bernie. There ws a tie for third place between Robert Adams of Puxico and Kayden Vaughn of Bloomfield.
In seventh grade Analogies/Spelling, Brooklyn Link of Dexter earned first place. Ryan Fulks of Puxico earned second, and Harlie Hinkle of Woodland took third.
In sixth grade Analogies/Spelling, first place went to Cole Phillips of Bloomfield. There was a tie for second between Jonathan Lutes of Woodland and Alyssa Thompson of Richland, and Adaline Prance of Dexter took third.
In fifth grade Analogies/Spelling, Serina Churchill of Dexter earned first place. In second place was Allie Corlew of Richland, and in third place was Karlie Beninati of Bell City.
In fourth grade in the category of Analogies/Spelling, Samantha Sandage of Bloomfield earned first place. In second place was Payton Bell of Richland, and third place was Addison Hancock of Puxico.
