Dexter High School celebrates senior night

Senior night celebrated Friday night at Charles Bland Stadium. Senior band members,football,football cheerleaders, cross country, girls tennis and volleyball were honored before the game against Sikeston. Two senior band members were unable to attend. They were: Blake Carrill the son of Bobby and Christi Carrillo. Blake is a member of the Marching Band. Blake plans to attend Mizzou this coming fall majoring in English, Philosophy, or Political Science. His most memorable moment at DHS was his freshman marching season. Serena Romero the daughter of Sergio and Mary Romero. Serena is a member of the marching band. Serena plans to take a year off after high school. Her most memorable moment at DHS is when I fell up the band stairs my freshman year.

Tara Williams - Tara is the daughter of Ben and Kendra Williams. Tara is a member of the Marching Band. Tara plans to attend Missouri State University. Her most memorable moment at DHS was playing UNO in advisory with the "Tara Draws 20" card.
Shaylin Moore - Shaylin is the daughter Jesse and Christi Moore.Shaylin is a member of the Marching Band. Shaylin plans to attend Arkansas State University. Her most memorable moment at DHS is the first day of senior year band camp.
Tyler Montgomery - Tyler is the son of Adam and Candace Montgomery.Tyler is a member of the Marching Band. Tyler plans to take a year off after high school. His most memorable moment at DHS is when he Rick-Rolled the entire school during a talent show.
Nate Mangum - Nate is the son of Stacy and Julie Mangum.Nate is a member of the marching band. Nate plans to attend SEMO for a year and then transfer to Rolla. His most memorable moment at DHS is when we went to all-state tryouts.
Nevaeh Johnson - Nevaeh is the daughter of Stacey and Marco Buenaventura.Nevaeh is a member of the marching band. Nevaeh plans to attend Three Rivers Community College. Her most memorable moment at DHS is when she competed in Spanish and placed.
Evan Grobe - Evan is the son of Aaron and Amy Grobe. Evan is a member of the marching band.Evan plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas and major in Finance.His most memorable moment at DHS is always going to Long John Silvers during Jazz Band trips to Farmington.
John Fortner - John is the son of Charles and Amanda Fortner.John is a member of the Marching Band and Jazz band. John plans to attend College of the Ozarks. His most memorable moment at DHS is when he made the All District Concert Band and the All District Jazz Band.
Elissa Dvorak - Elissa is the daughter of Cassandra Dvorak-Johnson and Jason Johnson. Elissa is a member of the marching band. Elissa is unsure about her future plans. Her most memorable moment at DHS is when most of my time in school has been a giant blur. I can hardly remember what I ate for dinner last night.
Sarah Dachs - Sarah is the daughter of Jennie Dachs. Sarah is a member of the Marching Band. Sarah plans to attend Three Rivers. Her most memorable moment at DHS was the Sikeston Marching Band Festival.
Shelby Curran - Shelby is the daughter of Tony and Michelle Curran. Shelby is a member of the Marching Band. Shelby plans to attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri where she will major in Criminal Justice. Her most memorable moment at DHS is when on the first day of band camp this year, Mr. Clay thought she wanted to punch him because apparently she was giving him a death glare so she ended up scaring the brand new band teacher.
Brittany Baldwin Brittany is the daughter of Tim and Hannah Baldwin, and Kim Walls. Brittany is a member of the Marching band. Brittany plans to attend Missouri State University. Her most memorable moment at DHS is when she played mafia on an all-state audition trip and was called Brenda. She's been called that ever since.
Matthew West - Matthew is the son of Doug and Priscilla West.Matthew is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Matthew plans to study to become a teacher.His most memorable cross country moment at DHS was eating all the left over rolls from Maggiano's.
Ronald Palmer - Ronald is the son of Adam and Jessica Geldmacher.Ronald is a member of the DHS Cross Country team. Ronald plans to attend Missouri State University and become a game designer of some sort. Ronald plans to make this year his most memorable.
Layne Medler - Layne is the daughter of Roger and Sherry Medler.Layne is a member of the DHS Cross Country team. Layne plans to attend college to earn a degree for occupational therapy.Her most memorable cross country moment at DHS was running in the mud at the Forest Park meet.
Alanie Lacy - Alanie is the daughter of Ron and Misty Lacy. Alanie is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Alanie plans to go to college and see as much of the world as I can.Her most memorable cross country moment at DHS was eating pasta and running in ankle deep mud at Forest Park.
Austin Kennard - Austin is the son of Tim and Candy Kennard. Austin is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Austin plans to attend Ozark Technical College in Springfield majoring in carpentry and construction.His most memorable cross country moment at DHS was when I went swimming in Current River after the Van Buren race with my friends Matt, Jordan, and Gage.
Andrew Ellinghouse - Andrew Ellinghouse is the son of Dave and Amy Ellinghouse. Andrew is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Andrew plans to go to college and study to be a stem major.His most memorable cross country moment at DHS was winning the Van Buran meet as a team last season.
Carter Dorton - Carter Dorton is the son of Brett and Christy Dorton.Carter is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Carter plans to attend a 4 year university and major in Business.His most memorable cross country moment at DHS was winning Coach's first ever Cross Country meet at Van Buren.
Gage Coleman - Gage is the son of Barbara Hartline.Gage is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Gage plans to open a business, selling athletic footwear and other running items. His most memorable cross country moment at DHS was surviving the muddy and slippery St. Louis Forest Park race after hanging out with the team at Maggiano's the night before.
Jaycee Chappell - Jaycee is the daughter of Brandon and Carrie Chappell.Jaycee is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Jaycee plans to get my CNA this year and work my way up in the medical field after high school.Her most memorable cross country moment at DHS was going to Van Buren and jumping in the river after we all ran and then getting Jolly Cone afterwards.
Gavin Cartwright - Gavin is the son of Damon Cartwright and Denice Johnson. Gavin is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Gavin plans to possibly run at the next level, and go to school to become an orthodontist. His most memorable moment at DHS was when we gave Coach Morse his first boys team first place finish in coaching history.
Ryder Boles - Ryder is the son of Eric and Kristi Boles.Ryder is a member of the DHS Cross Country team.Ryder plans to go to a 4 year college and major in Engineering.His most memorable cross country moment was being a part of the first ever Middle School Cross Country team.
.McKayla Annesser - McKayla is the daughter of Kayse Bond and Drew Soule. McKayla is a member of the DHS Cross Country team. McKayla plans to major in biology, go to medical school, and become a doctor.Her most memorable moment is the night before our meet in St. Louis, the whole team got to eat together and it felt like a true family
Alex Townsend - Alex is the son of Julana Jameson. Alex is a member of the DHS Football team. Alex plans to continue his military career and major in criminal justice. His most memorable moment is beating saint gen in triple overtime my sophomore year.
Michael Smith - Michael is the son of Lee Ann Smith and Michael Smith Sr.Michael is a member of the DHS Football team.Michael plans to graduate and become a construction worker. His most memorable moment is joining and playing football.
Jordan Patterson - Jordan is the son of Jason Patterson and Kimberly Tomes. Jordan is a member of the DHS Football team. Jordan plans to graduate and become a diesel mechanic. His most memorable moment was playing football.
Jacob Medler - Jacob is the son of Ryan and Ashlee Medler.Jacob is a member of the DHS Football team. Jacob plans to Attend Tulsa Welding School after graduation.His most memorable moment is beating Ste. Genevieve In triple overtime.
CJ Greene - CJ is the son of Casey and Tonya Greene.CJ is a member of the DHS Football team.CJ plans to go to a 4 year college.His most memorable moment at DHS is when I pinned a kid to go to state for wrestling my freshmen year.
Peyton Driskill - Peyton is the son of Gena and Derek Driskill.Peyton is a member of the DHS Football team. Peyton plans to go to a 4 year university. His most memorable moment at DHS is First start Sophomore year against Salem.
Braydyn Crockett - Brayden is the son of Dave Crockett and Rachel Jameson. Brayden is a member of the DHS Football team. Brayden plans to a 4 year university His most memorable moment at DHS was beating St. Gen sophomore year in a triple over time.
Caleb Coons - Caleb is the son of Josh and Holly Coons.Caleb is a member of the DHS Football team.Caleb plans to go to military after college. His most memorable moment at DHS is getting third in the wrestling district tournament.
Ryan Collier - Ryan is the son of Russ and Suzanne Collier.Ryan is a member of the DHS Football team. Ryan plans to go to the University of Alabama. His most memorable moment at DHS is the SFR (Spring Fever Reliever) dance his freshman year.
Luke Blocker - Luke is the son of Stacy Hill and Cory BlockerLuke is a member of the DHS Football team. Luke plans to attend lineman school. His most memorable moment at DHS is being locked in the drum case.
Bronwen Young - Bronwen is the daughter of Josh and Jessica Young.Bronwen is a member of the DHS Football Cheer squad and Varsity Marching Band.Bronwen will attend Harding University and pursue a nursing degree with plans to become a pediatric oncology nurse. Her most memorable moments were jam sessions on the bus rides.
Mattilyn Williams - Mattilyn is the daughter of Steven and Casey Williams.Mattilyn is a member of the DHS Football Cheer squad.Mattilyn plans to attend the S.A.E. Institute Nashville and pursue a career in the music entertainment businessHer most memorable moments all happened on the cheer bus rides!
Tristin Pullum Tristin is the daughter of Natasha and Jason Fornkohl and Tyler Pullum. Tristin is a member of the DHS Football Cheer squad.Tristin plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University where she will study nursing. Tristin has cheered for over 6 years and her favorite memories are performing all of the cheerleading routines at homecoming each year.
Makenna Rodgers - Makenna is the daughter of Darin and Peg Rodgers.Makenna is a 4-year member of the DHS Girls Tennis team.Makenna is undecided on where she wants to go to college. Her most memorable tennis moment is getting 2nd place in doubles at the Kennett Invitational Tennis Tournament with Jaden Cato last year.
Kyla Propst - Kyla is the daughter of Darrin and Molly Propst.Kyla is a 3-year member of the DHS Girls Tennis team.Kyla plans to attend college at SEMO and major in Elementary Education.Her most memorable tennis moment is almost freezing to death at Districts, but she wouldn't want to do that with any other team.
Courtney Northcutt - Courtney is the daughter of Ken and Billie Stratton.Courtney is a 4-year member of the DHS Girls Tennis team.Courtney plans to go to Dental Hygiene School.Her most memorable tennis moments are getting 3rd place in singles at the SEMO Conference and getting 2nd place in doubles at Districts with Kyla.
Myah Al-balawi - Myah is the daughter of Clifford and Amanda Allen.Myah is a 2-year member of the DHS Girls Tennis team.Myah plans to attend a 4 year university and major in pre-law.Her most memorable tennis moment is when she got her first singles win at Charleston her junior year.
Mekenzie Yount - Mekenzie is the daughter of Michael Yount and Melissa Yount. Mekenzie is a 4 year member of volleyball.Mekenzie plans on attending college to continue playing volleyball and majoring in business. Mekenzie's favorite memory is watching Coach Pulley and Coach Morse attempt to running the bases on the softball field and completely wiping out.
Chloe Thurmon - Chloe Thurmon is the daughter of Matt and Mindy Thurmon.Chloe is a 4 year member of volleyball team.Chloe's future plans are to continue to play volleyball at the next level and major in the medical field.Chloe's most memorable moment is competing in a dance off in front of the whole school with Carter Dorton...I am still in shock he was willing to do it.
Mikayla Dodson - Mikayla is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Dodson.Mikayla is a 4 year member of the volleyball team.Mikayla plans on attending college and majoring in physical therapy.Mikayla's most memorable moment was when I tripped during the mile my sophomore year.
Bailey Chamberlain - Bailey is the daughter of Kris Chamberlain and Amie Chamberlain. Bailey is a 4 year member of volleyball and basketball, BETA, National Honor Society, Pep Club, and FCA.Bailey is planning on attending college and continuing her career in volleyball.Bailey's most memorable moment was going to the Lake of the Ozarks for a volleyball tournament during the summer.
Shelby Bishop - Shelby is the daughter of Beau and Crystal Bishop.Shelby is a 4 year member of the volleyball team.Shelby plans on attending SEMO in January and pursuing a degree in Accounting. Shelby’s favorite memory is knocking Coach Morse off his bucket during softball.
