By NOREEN HYSLOP Managing Editor Dexter Police have been alerted to a scam that is taking place in the area through the mail. According to Det. Capt. Trevor Pulley, several local residents received a check in the mail on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, accompanied by a letter stating that they were winners of several thousand dollars in a sweepstakes contest. The letter directs the recipient to pay a "processing fee" of $3,400 in order to collect their winnings...
