Marlin J. Strickland, 86, of Gipsy, died Aug. 5, 2015, at the John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff. He was born March 13, 1929, at Laurel, Miss., the son of Ethal and Martha Simpson Strickland. Marlin was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
