Wednesday, September 28, 2022

**UPDATE 10:40 pm** One lane of traffic eastbound and one lane westbound is now open

The Missouri Highway Patrol is on the scene of a two vehicle crash on US 60 at the Highway Z overpass.

Sgt. Clark Parrott with the Highway Patrol said one vehicle is a tractor trailer unit with a tanker trailer hauling gasoline.

Parrott said both vehicles are fully involved and the Butler County Fire department is en route to the scene.

Parrott said both eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 60 are blocked and will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Butler County and Stoddard County Sheriffs Deputies are diverting traffic onto Highway B. Parrott said the Department of Natural resources have been contacted due to fuel still coming from the top vent of the trailer. He said the Missouri Department of Transportation is en route to assist with traffic and bringing sand for clean up.
