Gas leak causes temporary closure of Two Mile Road

A natural gas leak caused the temporary closure of Two Mile Road at the railroad crossing Tuesday evening. Dexter Fire Chief Don Seymore said a tree branch fell and struck a riser, which is part of the gas line, coming out of the ground and breaking it. Seymore said son one was injured and no vehicles were involved in the incident. Along with the Dexter Fire Department, Ameren Missouri responded to the scene to repair the line.
