Free Access - Dexter Police seeks the public's help in theft case

The Dexter Police Department is seeking the public's help to locate three suspects and a suspect vehicle in connection with a theft on Saturday.

According to the departments news release on social media, a vehicle pulled up to a local salon on Saturday around 9:40 a.m. Authorities say once at the salon a window was busted out of a victim's vehicle and the victim's purse was stolen from inside the vehicle.

Police describe the suspect vehicle from security footage as charcoal gray with a black hood, tinted windows, a sunroof and a small sticker in the bottom right glass. The vehicle is believed to be a 2013-2017 BMW 328i.

Authorities say the vehicle was occupied by three African Americans, two males and a female. Anyone with any information on the location of the vehicle or suspects is asked to call Detective Simpkins at 573-624-5512 ext. 6 or Detective Forkum at 573-624-5512 ext 4. The investigation is ongoing.
