FREE ACCESS - Dexter Police investigating stabbing

The Dexter Police Department is investigating a stabbing that took place at 4:09 a.m in the 300 block of West Business 60.

According to detective Cory Mills the victim was stabbed multiple times and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Mills said a 32 year-old white male was identified as the suspect. Mills said he was taken into custody at approximately 4:16 a.m. in the area of the crime scene. He is currently being held at the Dexter City Jail.

Mills said the Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney's office has been notified of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
